Havana, Feb 15 (Prensa Latina) Serbia's Ambassador to Cuba Danilo Pantovic on Monday recognized the achievements of the Cuba's vaccine candidates against Covid-19, and assured his country's interest in acquiring them once they are finished.

'I am very glad that Cuba has its vaccination candidates, that is a treasure for the world,' he added in statements to Cuban television news.

Pantovic referred that the interest in importing Cuban vaccines is part of the diversity of the healthcare system his country is betting on.

The diplomat highlighted the achievements of public health and distinguished the support of personalities of the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Serbia in favor of the Nobel Peace Prize 2021 for the Cuban Henry Reeve medical contingent.

The representative described the relations between the two countries as excellent and very positive, in view of today's celebration of the National Day of Serbia and the 186th anniversary of the establishment of its first Constitution.

He also assured that both countries maintain historic relations with points in common such as multilateralism and the defense of peace.
