Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Foreign Ministry acknowledged the bonds between that Caribbean nation and Cuba as they marked the 33rd anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations.
The Ministry affirmed on X its commitment to what it called “strategic alliance” with Cuba and celebrated the “deep bonds” between the two peoples, according to PL wire service.
The message recalled that since 1992 and over the past three decades, the two Caribbean nations forged a solid and lasting relationship based on mutual respect, solidarity and cooperation.
Bilateral cooperation has included medical assistance and medicine scholarships, eye-treatment, professional training and academic exchange, the Ministry noted.
Other collaboration areas involve heritage promotion, inter-cultural dialog and support for infrastructure and climate resilience projects.
Cuban ambassador to Saint Vincent Carlos Rodriguez said that the two nations strengthened their strategic relationship based on joint development, social justice and mutual support.
