Russia calls for completely lifting US blockade of Cuba

In connection with the fact that the plenary meeting of the 78th United Nations General Assembly session adopted a resolution demanding the end of the US’ economic, trade and financial blockades of Cuba for the 31st time, the Russian Foreign Ministry on November 3 pointed to the need to completely lift the US’ blockades.

The ministry noted that Russia would express invariable solidarity to the Cuban people who are defying the US’ blockades, and continue to strive to completely lift the blockades together with a majority of countries in the world.

It stressed that political cooperation between Russia and Cuba would be further strengthened, practical concerted efforts would be intensified for socio-economic development and exchanges would expand in the field of humanitarianism.
