Moscow, Feb 15 (Prensa Latina) Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday reiterated his country does not want war, so he proposed to hold negotiations whose results should ensure equal security in Europe, including that of his nation.

At a joint press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz after more than three hours of official talks in the Kremlin, the Russian leader warned that, unfortunately, Moscow did not receive a substantive and constructive response to his proposals.

He assured that responses of the United States and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) to the Russian initiatives include points that his government can discuss, but noted that Moscow will only consider them together with other fundamental issues that are of the highest priority for this nation.

The head of State said that the West ignored his country’s main concerns in its responses to the proposals on security guarantees.

Referring to the threats of war in Europe, he recalled that NATO already triggered one, with the bombing of the former Yugoslavia.

But he stressed that they do not want to start a war.

However, he clarified that Moscow cannot turn a blind eye to the free interpretation of the principle of indivisibility of security, which is included and enshrined in many common European documents by Washington and NATO.
