Prime Minister of St. Vincent and the Grenadines to visit Cuba

The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Ralph Everard Gonsalves, will pay an official visit to Cuba starting Wednesday.

According to a note from the Caribbean island's Foreign Ministry, the distinguished visitor will talk with Cuban authorities and carry out other activities.

Ralph Everard Gonsalves, who is also head of National Security, Legal Affairs, and Information, has been the leader of the Unity Labor Party since 1994 and prime minister since 2001, re-elected consecutively in the 2005, 2010, and 2015 general elections.

He has researched, written, and published on the Caribbean, Africa, trade unionism, comparative political economy, and general development issues.
