Prime Minister Inaugurates Social Projects in Cacocum

Manuel Marrero Cruz, Prime Minister of the Republic, inaugurated today social projects in the Holguín municipality of Cacocum, which was selected as the site for the provincial event in celebration of the triumph of the Revolution.
The Politburo member also visited the Community Food Project in the La Agraria area, the first of its kind in the province, which will serve nine elderly residents and one vulnerable youth, as well as the semi-boarding school Expedicionarios del Corynthia, which supports more than 198 local mothers.
Marrero Cruz also inspected a family home recently assisted by the program for the distribution of solar kits to budgeted sectors, and the Rubén Batista Rubio Polyclinic, which serves over 13,000 people and houses the only intensive care unit in the area.
Among other sites visited during the day were the Miguel González Intensive Garden, the Municipal Government headquarters, and the 2 de Diciembre Plaza.
The visit was attended by Joel Queipo Ruíz, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and first secretary in the province, and Manuel Francisco Hernández Aguilera, governor of the territory.
