The Hermanos Saíz Association (AHS) is deploying an intense cultural program throughout Cuba this week as part of celebrations marking its 40th anniversary, with offerings that encompass poetry, trova music, community theater, and jazz.

The program of events will also be dedicated to the 173rd anniversary of the birth of Cuba's National Hero, José Martí, to be celebrated this January 28.

In the central province of Ciego de Ávila, the event Estrofa Nueva brings together poets and troubadours in schools and neighborhoods through January 28, while in Contramaestre, in the eastern province of Santiago de Cuba, the initiative Tierra Adentro brings the work of young creators to rural spaces, in a commitment to art as a tool for social transformation.

From January 28 to March 3, the Guantánamo-Baracoa Theatrical Crusade, celebrating its 36th edition this year, dedicates its scenic journey to the AHS and to indigenous Cuban traces in the national culture, announced the organization's president, Yasel Toledo, on his social media networks.

In Havana, the Pabellón Cuba, the organization's national headquarters, hosts concerts and activities from the 41st International Jazz Plaza Festival, establishing itself as a meeting point between generations of musicians and diverse audiences.

Also in the western part of the country, a new community project is flourishing in Puerta de Golpe, Consolación del Sur, in Pinar del Río province, where young writer Adrián Rodríguez has converted his home into a space for literary and visual workshops and the preservation of local traditions, with the Association's support.

The provincial headquarters of the AHS maintain an active program, with the purpose of reaching as many communities as possible, reaffirming the organization's commitment to young Cuban art and its role in building a vibrant, inclusive, and transformative culture.
