President of Cuba to participate in Climate Ambition Summit

Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel will participate in the Climate Ambition Summit to be held this December 12 virtually, informed Friday  Granma newspaper.

The island's representation will also include the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez, and the Minister of Science, Technology, and Environment, Elba Rosa Pérez.

Convened five years after the adoption of the Paris Agreements, the meeting will be a pre-conference meeting for the 26th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP26), to be held in November 2021 in Glasgow (United Kingdom)
