President of Cuba highlights advances in computerization of society

Havana, Dec 13 (Prensa Latina) The president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, highlighted the progress made for the computerization of society, supported by government management.

Díaz-Canel tweeted that this process is vital for the digital transformation in the country, for which technologies are being integrated in all areas of political, economic and social life, with people as the center.

During a recent meeting of the National Innovation Council, the head of state insisted on the need to apply this concept in a way that is articulated with the national development plan, for which cultural change is urgently needed in all settings.

Likewise, the president considered it as an urgent challenge to bring these ideas to the municipalities, which are undergoing redesign processes of many concepts and are making progress in the implementation of progress strategies at the territorial level.
