Peruvian Party salutes Cuban people for defending honor and dignity

The Peru Libre Party (PPL) congratulated the Cuban people on Friday for defending their honor and dignity with a large popular mobilization against the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States.
A PPL statement also rejected Cuba’s inclusion in a US list of countries that alledgedly sponsor terrorism, another of the demands from the march, held in Havana a week ago.
“This deceptive designation has multiplied the severe effects of the economic blockade suffered by the Cuban people,” added the statement, noting that there are banks that faced with threats of US reprisals, have suspended their operations with Cuba.
Among the effects of Washington’s arbitrary and unjustified actions, the text mentioned the impact on purchases of food, medicine, fuel, spare parts for the national power system and other goods for the population.
The PPL recalled that the inhumane actions by the United States against Cuba were rejected almost unanimously at the United Nations General Assembly and demanded that Washington “let the Cuban people live in peace.”
