Nobel Peace Prize winner Adolfo Perez Esquivel warned on Thursday of the presidential candidate for “La Libertad Avanza” (LLA)Javier Milei´s intention to trigger chaos and turn Argentina into a U.S. colony.
In statements to the Telam news agency, the renowned human rights fighter lashed out at Milei’s plans to cut off relations with Brazil and China, Argentina´s major trading partners.
Plus, Perez Esquivel stated that LLA geared to removing the people’s rights, by destroying industry and jobs.
On November 19, Argentinians must choose between a sovereign country, with economic independence, social justice, its own identity and integrated to the Latin American continent, and a colonial model of submission to the U.S. empire. Liberation or dependence, those are the options, he affirmed.
Meanwhile, the head of the Peace and Justice Service praised the program of the candidate for “Union por la Patria” party Sergio Massa, based on a government of national unity.
We must build broad, democratic and participative consensus. We are a big country that deserves a project without hatred, violence and denial, he asserted.
