Pedagogy 2023 a Call to work for a better educational model

Havana, Jan 30 (RHC) The secretary general of the Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture, Mariano Jabonero Blanco said Monday in Havana that "We are called to work for a better educational model with scientific bases, rigor, and consistency, accessible to all people."
During the inauguration of the International Congress 'Pedagogy 2023', and before Miguel Díaz-Canel, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and president of the Republic, Jabonero highlighted the importance of the debates that will arise in the event.
He also expressed the commitment of the Island to the education of its people and the constant intention of guaranteeing its quality, even in complex times such as the years of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The opening of the educators' meeting was attended by the President of the National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba, Esteban Lazo Hernández; the Prime Minister of the Republic, Manuel Marrero Cruz, and Ena Elsa Velázquez, Minister of Education.
Pedagogy 2023', which is being held at the Palacio de Convenciones, is attended by the Ministers of Education of Angola, China, Portugal, Venezuela, Belize, Nicaragua, and Jamaica, among other nations.
The Congress is being attended by representatives from 51 countries, together with a Cuban delegation of 500 teachers and researchers who will discuss inclusive, equitable, and quality education until February 3. (Source: ACN)
