Palestine's PM rejects deal between Israel and Emirates

The API, dating from 2002, proposes to normalize relations with Tel Aviv in exchange for it leaving the territories occupied in 1967 (Gaza Strip, West Bank and East Jerusalem) that belong to the Palestinians, for the establishment of a sovereign State for that people and a solution to the problems of millions of refugees eager to return to their land.
During the rally that took place in the city of Turmus Ayya and which was attended by representatives of different political groups, Shtayyeh also rejected the Deal of the Century, presented in January by US President Donald Trump, who also negotiated the deal between Israel and Emirates.
The Deal of the Century consisted in Palestinians would have the right to a discontinuous homeland (sort of islands surrounded by Jewish settlements), in addition, Trump's proposal leaves the prized Jordan Valley in the hands of Tel Aviv and declares Jerusalem, claimed by both sides, as the indivisible capital of Israel.
At announcing the recent deal, the sides involved agreed that the Zionist government would freeze, at least momentarily, the planned partial annexation (up to 30 percent) of the West Bank, a program that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had threatened with implement since last July 1.
