Number of Cubans with a complete anti-Covid-19 scheme grows

Havana, Jul 2 (Prensa Latina) The Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) reported today that nine million 974 thousand 692 Cubans, representing 90 percent of the population, have taken the complete vaccination schedule against Covid-19.

According to that portfolio, 10 million 680 thousand 13 citizens received one dose of national immunizers, while nine million 416 thousand 559 already have the second vaccine, and nine million 118 thousand 716, the third. The island thus accumulates 38 million 670 thousand 436 administered doses of the Cuban immunogens of Soberana 02, Soberana Plus and Abdala.

In addition, seven million 402 thousand 393 people have the reinforcement dose, the MINSAP specified.

Cuba’s immunogens are safe and without serious adverse effects, according to successful clinical trials and vaccination of different segments of the population.

According to the National Office of Statistics and Information, the population of the island at the end of 2020 was about 11 million 180 thousand inhabitants.
