Marrero Cruz meets in Iran with supporters of Cuba

Friends of Cuba in Iran expressed their affection and support for the Caribbean island during a meeting with Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz, who is paying an official visit to the Persian nation.

The Cuban Presidency reported on its website that the meeting took place at the Cuban Embassy in Tehran and gathered members of the Iran-Cuba Friendship Association and the HOLA organization, who shared with Marrero Cruz their views on how to help and engage in projects of common interest for the benefit of both peoples.

“They raised their voice against a blockade intended to asphyxiate a country, and the support for Palestine was heard very loudly and strongly, as was their resounding condemnation of Israel, which will not be able to keep history’s day of reckoning from coming”, the note stresses.

On his end, the Prime Minister gave them an overview of the complex situation facing Cuba and the obstacles that it is challenged to overcome sooner rather than later all the obstacles to prosperity, as well as of everything the Cuban government is doing together with the people to move forward.

“We will remain by Iran’s side. As to all of you, keep making your voice heard and supporting us, for we will not let you down”, Marrero Cruz concluded.
