Liuba María Hevia, one of the most significant female voices of Cuba's New Song Movement, will perform in Chile on Tuesday to delight the audience with an intimate concert that will cover the best of her music.

The singer songwriter will perform tonight at the concert hall of Radio Universidad de Chile, three decades after her first visit to this country.

With more than twenty albums to her credit, Liuba has ventured into genres as varied as song, habanera, guajira, son, bolero and ballads.

During her extensive career, she has shared the stage and recordings with Silvio Rodríguez, Pablo Milanés, Marta Gómez, Manuel García, Omara Portuondo, Chucho Valdés, Los Van Van, among many others.

One of his special qualities is her dedication to children, with works by poet and singer songwriter Ada Elba Pérez, her own songs and the interpretation of classics of the Spanish-American children’s repertory.

In 2012, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) appointed her Goodwill Ambassador due to her vocation and work not only in theaters, but also in popular neighborhoods.
