Kremlin Weighs In on Renewed US National Security Strategy

The new United States National Security Strategy suggests the necessity for dialogue, a point which pleases Moscow, declared Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov on Monday.

"It speaks of the need for dialogue and for establishing constructive and friendly relations. This cannot but satisfy us, and fits perfectly with our vision," the spokesperson said.

"And we understand that, by eliminating the current irritants in the bilateral sphere, the prospect could open for, let's say, a genuine restoration of our relations and their emergence from a rather deep state of crisis," he stated.
