Kremlin Responds to Trump’s Nuclear Submarine Announcement
especiales

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov commented Monday on recent remarks by U.S. President Donald Trump, who claimed that two nuclear submarines are currently deployed "in the region."
“In this case, it is clear that U.S. submarines are operational regardless. This is a continuous process,” Peskov stated.
Trump’s announcement comes amid an ongoing exchange of contentious statements with Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Security Council. In response, Peskov noted that Moscow prefers not to engage in such controversies.
At the same time, the Kremlin emphasized the seriousness with which it approaches any statement involving nuclear matters. Peskov stressed that Russia “treats all nuclear-related declarations with great caution,” and maintains a responsible stance on these issues — one that, he said, is well established by President Vladimir Putin.
“Russia pays very close attention to nuclear non-proliferation. We believe that everyone should be extremely, extremely careful with nuclear rhetoric,” Peskov concluded.
