Ibero-American Criminal Sciences event winds up in Cuba

The 16th International Meeting on Criminal Sciences 2025 and the 4th Event on Legality, Law, and Society concluded Friday in Cuba after three days of discussions and strengthened international collaborations.
A key event was a seminar on transnational organized crime, held at Havana’s Conference Center, emphasizing the need for international cooperation to combat this global issue. Cuban and Spanish criminal experts discussed establishing joint investigative teams.
The Assistance Program against Transnational Organized Crime (PAcCTO) of Spain and the Attorney General’s Office of Cuba presented positive outcomes of their collaborative efforts.
Additionally, the Cuban Justice Ministry (MINJUS) and the Venezuelan Ombudsman’s Office signed a cooperation memorandum addressing shared concerns.
