FAO praises meeting of rural entrepreneurs to be held in Cuba

The FAO Cuba Office commended that this city will host the 1st International Workshop of Entrepreneurial Farms for the Economic Development of the Country on September 17 to 19.

The event is promoted by the Cuban Ministry of Agriculture and the Center for Management, Local Development, Tourism and Cooperativism Studies of the University of Pinar del Rio, with UNIDO’s support.

Organized in the context of the XIV International Convention of Cooperativism COOPERAT 2024, the workshop will contribute to the identification of current gaps, challenges and opportunities in the Cuban rural sector in order to promote business ventures and financial programs for the production, transformation and marketing of agricultural products.
