Expert warns in Italy about risks of phase two against Covid-19

The commissioner responsible for logistics in the confrontation with Covid-19, Doménico Arcuri, said today that with the gradual reopening of activities starting the day after tomorrow, the challenge will be more difficult.

In a press conference, Arcuri warned that the relative freedom won by each person should be governed according to the health of others and added that next Monday, May 4th, the second half of a match of unknown duration and results will begin.

Regarding the supply of personal protection devices still scarce for the public, he stated that with the start of the second phase of emergency management, surgical masks will be for sale in 50 thousand commercial establishments at a regulated price of 50 euro cents each.

In this sense, he announced that in the middle of this month the number of points of sale will double, while the national production of masks will increase, with an additional four million units from the middle of this month, reaching 35 million in August.

Arcuri also indicated that the day after tomorrow the massive serological examination program will also begin, with an initial population sample of 150,000 people, through which it will be possible to determine if they recently came into contact with the virus.
