Cuban and Argentine artists will display their work in this capital on Wednesday as part of a joint exhibition that reflects the ties between the two countries and peoples.

Curated by Jorge Antonio Mourelle, the exhibition entitled “Con Cuba en la mirada” (With Cuba in our Eyes) will be opened at the Argentine-Cuban Friendship House in Buenos Aires this Wednesday afternoon.

The exhibition, organized and supported by the Movement of Solidarity with Cuba and the Cuban Embassy in Argentina, includes paintings and sculptures and can be visited until Monday, October 16.

Artists Jorge Gionco, Xavier Fontela, and Silvia Nora Mechetti (Argentina), and Pedro Jesus Perez, Juana Maria Hernandez, and Marlene Acosta (Cuba) will attend the exhibition.

This initiative is part of the Cuban Culture Day, celebrated in Cuba and its missions abroad until October 20.

It is also part of a program to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the restoration of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

On October 7-8, the Casa Patria Grande in Buenos Aires hosted the Cuban Book and Culture Fair, which included concerts, simultaneous chess games, lectures, and other activities.
