Executive Secretary of ALBA-TCP visits Cuba

Havana, March 21 (RHC)-- The Executive Secretary of ALBA-TCP is in Cuba for an official visit. 

Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel greeted the guest on Twitter. "A welcoming embrace to Cuba. We will continue working on ALBA-TCP programs and projects," he wrote.

In the same social media network, Llorenti replied: "Thank you very much for the welcome. Willing to start this working visit to continue joining efforts for our ALBA-TCP".

As of Monday, LLorenti will hold several meetings in Havana to evaluate the progress of the social and economic programs that benefit hundreds of thousands of Latin Americans, mainly the poorest sectors of the population.

Llorenti’s official visit to the island will last through March 26.

The Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-People's Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP) was born in 2004 at the initiative of Presidents Fidel Castro of Cuba and Hugo Chavez of Venezuela.
