After the terrorist attack on the Crocus City Hall, in the region of Moscow, the number of people who have signed up for military service has increased rapidly, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on Wednesday.

In the last week alone, about 16,000 citizens signed contracts to participate in the special military operation in Ukraine, the military institution announced on its Telegram channel.

According to most of them, the main reason was the desire to do justice to those killed in the attack on the concert hall on March 22, 2024.

The Defense Ministry noted that Moscow and other Russian cities have significantly increased the number of people who want to enroll in military service under contract.

The number has reached more than 100,000 since the beginning of this year.
