Editorial Art and Literature calls for competition to illustrate new edition of Don Quixote

The Arte y Literatura Editorial, of the Cuban Book Institute, called for the first edition of the Imaginar la letra illustration contest, whose winning work will be used, this time, as the cover image of the book El ingenious hidalgo Don Quixote of La Mancha, by Miguel de Cervantes y Saavedra.

Don Quixote will be presented at the next Book Fair as part of the Biblioteca del Pueblo collection, on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of its first publication by the National Printing Office.

The call to make a plastic interpretation of this classic of universal literature is aimed at visual artists over 18 years of age, residing in Cuba.

It will be possible to participate with a single work in any of the disciplines of visual arts, until next October 20

According to the note shared by the publisher, a selection of the best works will be exhibited, in print, in a group exhibition on the occasion of the 57th anniversary of the Arte y Literatura Publishing House.
