Díaz-Canel Highlights the Need to Unite the Global Left

Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, emphasized on Thursday the need for the global left to coordinate its struggles in the face of the growing challenge of fascism.

On his official X account, the Cuban leader reflected that the fight against fascism is a global one, noting that no nation can overcome it alone.

“The left must coordinate its struggles, share experiences, and learn from both its victories and its mistakes,” the Head of State declared.

In his message, the President highlighted the significance of the recently concluded 3rd International Meeting of Theoretical Left Publications, held in Havana, describing the event as highly productive and one that “charts a path forward.”

Over the course of three days, the gathering in Havana brought together more than a hundred representatives from progressive parties and movements across roughly 30 countries.
