The Acting President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, led a working day in the community of Catia La Mar this Monday, January 12. From this area of La Guaira state, one of the most affected by the US military aggression perpetrated on January 3, the head of state reaffirmed the solidity of national institutions. Rodríguez emphasized that the nation maintains its determination to remain free in the face of attacks seeking to undermine the peace of the people.

During her address, the dignitary firmly responded to recent disinformation campaigns circulating on digital platforms and social media. Rodríguez directly referenced the dissemination of caricatures and content on portals like Wikipedia, which attempt to position Donald Trump as an authority of the country. She labeled these actions as desperate attempts to disregard the political reality and sovereign will that governs Venezuelan territory.

"Here, there is a Government that rules in Venezuela. There is an Acting President, and there is a President held hostage in the United States," the head of state stated with determination. With these words, she recalled that the head of state, Nicolás Maduro, remains kidnapped by the US government following the incursion on January 3. Rodríguez underscored that, despite the siege, the structure of the Bolivarian State continues to be operational and fully exercising its functions.

The head of state highlighted that governance in the country is exercised directly alongside the people organized in communities. According to her explanation, the key to Venezuelan resistance lies in the civic-military union and the strengthening of People's Power against external threats. Rodríguez assured that the administration she leads will not be intimidated by media fabrications that only seek to generate uncertainty among the population and the international community.

On the external front, the acting president ratified that Venezuela continues to advance in building international relations based on legality and mutual respect. She affirmed that the country has the support of allied nations that recognize the legitimacy of its authorities and the right to self-determination. "We are vindicating the rights of our beloved homeland against the illicit aggressions of the US government," she emphasized during the community meeting.

Finally, Rodríguez called for permanent vigilance to dismantle opinion matrices that attempt to justify imperialist aggression against the national economy and stability. The deployment in La Guaira served to verify the recovery of services and the direct attention to families who were victims of the cowardly military attack.

On January 3, US forces bombed Caracas and several areas of the states of Miranda, Aragua, and La Guaira, leaving a toll of at least 100 dead and a similar number wounded, according to Venezuelan Minister of Interior, Justice, and Peace, Diosdado Cabello.

During the attack, labeled a "criminal aggression" by the Bolivarian Government, US Delta Force commandos kidnapped the constitutional President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, and the First Combatant, Cilia Flores. The presidential couple was taken to New York, where they remain illegally detained in a maximum-security prison.
