De facto government of Bolivia bars Evo Morales from voting
It adds that the former president said in a message that 'the Bolivian people will live a historic day because it will go to the polls seeking a better future, with joy and peace.'
On the other side, radio stations of Tarija, bordering department (region) with Bolivia, reported that the government of that territory ordered the closure of the border with Argentina, although it is blocked since June due to measures set up by the Argentinean government to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
This restrictions prevent Bolivians residing in Argentina, and registered in Bolivia to vote, from crossing the border to exercise their right to vote, which traditionally happens in every election.
Argentina is the country with the highest number of Bolivian migrants, among whom MAS has always won an overwhelming majority.
