The Cuban entity is attached to the commemoration, whose purpose not only highlights the indissoluble link between freedom, social justice and defense of human dignity but also provides historic background to the fight against all forms of oppression and racism that persist worldwide.
The document highlights the work carried out within the organization in the permanent work commissions of Heritage, City and Architecture, Community Cultural Work and Traditions, and Jose Antonio Aponte, which contribute to the saving of the historic memory related to Africa's legacy in our culture.
The press release also noted the research and promotion around the monuments and places that exalt the heroism of those who fought for the emancipation of the homeland and the abolition of slavery, as well as the transmission to future generations of the principles that sustain an inclusive, free and full, socialist society.
