Cuba's inclusion on US list described as embarrassing
especiales
Cuban attorney José Pertierra described the US administration decision to keep Cuba on its list of countries that do not cooperate in the fight against terrorism as embarrassing.
Speaking to Cuban national television, Pertierra –who has a law firm in Washington DC- claimed that Joe Biden is really disappointing those who saw in his rise to the US presidency the chance for correcting the extreme hostility on Cuba promoted by his predecessor Donald Trump (2017- 2021).
According to Pertierra, one of the factors influencing these foreign policy decisions has to do with advisors on this matter chosen by Biden, which Pertierra described as poor.
Pertierra considered that initiatives such as Puentes de Amor caravans and demonstrations by US citizens themselves and international public opinion should press the White House for switching such a hostile policy and lifting the US blockade against Cuba once and for all.
