Cuban President congratulates scientists Heroes of Labor

Havana, Oct 1 (RHC) The first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (CC-PCC) and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel (pictured) congratulated on Friday the men and women who in recent hours received the title of Hero of Labor.

In his Twitter account, the dignitary expressed his admiration and respect to the 10 eminent scientists for their decisive role in the production of the three anti-COVID-19 vaccines and the two Cuban vaccine candidates.

In his message, Díaz-Canel added an information in which the Cubadebate portal announces the news, very well received by our people.

The general secretary of the Central de Trabajadores de Cuba, Ulises Guilarte de Nacimiento, proposed to grant them that status for the feat performed in the fight against the pandemic.

The award was made by means of Presidential Decree No. 307, published Thursday in the Official Gazette. (Source: ACN)
