Cuban president congratulates Nicolas Maduro on his election victory

Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel, on his X profile on Monday, congratulated Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro for his victory in Sunday's presidential elections.
“I spoke with brother Nicolas Maduro to offer him warm congratulations on behalf of the Cuban Party, Government, and people for the historic electoral victory after an impressive demonstration by the Venezuelan people,” Diaz-Canel wrote and added that he reaffirmed Cuba’s solidarity.
“Today, the dignity and courage of the Venezuelan people triumphed over pressure and manipulation. I convey to brother President Maduro our warm congratulations on this historic victory and Cuba’s commitment to stand by the Bolivarian and Chavista Revolution,” he stated.
The Cuban president reiterated on the same platform that Maduro’s victory “is that of the Bolivarian and Chavista people, they defeated the pro-imperialist opposition unequivocally. They also defeated the regional, interventionist, and Monroist right. The people spoke and the Revolution won.
Maduro won the presidential elections with 51.20 percent of the vote after receiving 5,150,092 votes.
His closest rival was the opponent of the Democratic Unity Platform, Edmundo Gonzalez, who obtained 44.2 percent with the vote of 4,445,978 voters.
