Cuban President congratulated Nicolás Maduro

Havana, Apr 24 (RHC)-- Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel congratulated his Venezuelan counterpart, Nicolás Maduro, on his re-election as head of the United Socialist Party (PSUV) of that South American country.

From his official Twitter profile, the Cuban president also greeted Diosdado Cabello, who was ratified as first vice president and the new leadership of the PSUV, elected this weekend at the V Congress of that political grouping.

During the celebration of the second plenary session of the great party meeting, held at the Teresa Carreño Theater in Caracas, the Code of Ethics that will govern the performance of the PSUV militants was also approved.

The Venezuelan Head of State pointed out that it is an essential instrument for a deep moral change within the organization and to avoid deviations.

He also warned about plans encouraged and organized from neighboring Colombia to favor the entry of criminal elements into Venezuelan territory through the border to perpetrate attacks against civilian, military, and police targets.
