Cuban President celebrates Biocubafarma´s anniversary

Havana, Dec 27 (RHC) Cuban President Miguel-Díaz Canel on Tuesday attended the official ceremony for the 10th anniversary of the Biotechnological and Pharmaceutical Industries of Cuba (Biocubafarma) Business Group.

Prime Minister Manuel Marrero, State and Government leaders, researchers, professionals, technicians were also present.

Biocubafarma was officially created on December 7, 2012, from integration of entities belonging to the Scientific Pole and the Quimefa Business Group for the manufacture of medicines, equipment and high-tech services.

Made up of over 21,600 workers, hundreds of specialists of high professional level integrated to the research-production and 62 production facilities, Biocubafarma represents a strategic industry, with high standards of its products and services and a solid international positioning. (Source: PL)
