Cuban Parliament president Esteban Lazo meets with students

Havana, Feb 16 (Prensa Latina) National People's Power Assembly (Parliament) President Esteban Lazo met on Thursday with students and professors from the "Vladimir I. Lenin" Vocational Pre-University Institute of Exact Sciences.
He was accompanied by the other six candidates nominated in Havana’s Arroyo Naranjo municipality for the 10th Legislature, as part of meetings that are taking place prior to the national elections on March 26.
They discussed the concerns, worries and the significance for many students of exercising their right to vote for the first time, the legislative body reported on its Twitter account.
From February 6 to March 24, the candidates for lawmakers to the Cuban Parliament will tour communities and meet the population, labor and student groups from the municipalities where they were nominated.
National elections will be held on March 26, when the deputies of the 10th Legislature will be elected for a five-year term, according to the provisions of the Constitution of the Republic and Law 127, the Electoral Law.
