Cuban leaders greet head of Russian Senate

Cuban Deputy Prime Minister Ricardo Cabrisas conveyed greetings from the leader of the Revolution, Raúl Castro, and President Miguel Díaz-Canel to the head of the Federation Council (Russian Senate), Valentina Matvienko.

First of all, I must begin by conveying the greetings and strong embrace of Army General Raul Castro, the president of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel, and the president of the Cuban Parliament, Esteban Lazo,’ said Cabrisas, who is also the Cuban minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment.

Cabrisas thanked Matvienko for Russia’s understanding, efforts and constant support.

The top Cuban official expressed gratitude for ‘the understanding and support, which they have systematically offered to strengthening and protecting our bilateral relations, not only from the political point of view, but also from the economic, commercial, financial viewpoint.’

“Through public and justified information during that visit we have learned that the Russian Federation, as always, with its political and economic strength, has reversed the purposes and intentions of our common enemies,” Cabrisas pointed out.
