Havana, Jun 8 (Prensa Latina) The National Union of Jurists of Cuba (UNJC, in Spanish) encourages the linking of law students in institutions, a young delegate to the ninth congress of that organization, which ends today, said.

The president of the University Student Federation (FEU, in Spanish) of the Law School of the University of Havana, Gabriela Maribel Martin, acknowledged that it is an achievement for students to combine theoretical knowledge with practice at an early stage.

Before, once graduated, it was very difficult to apply the legal technique itself because the graduates did not master issues such as the drafting of sentences, she explained to Prensa Latina.

He added that thanks to the UNJC and the material and intellectual support of other institutions, they also carry out cultural projects in the communities.

In this way we achieve legal culture in the neighborhoods and help to address certain issues, the fourth-year law student said.

She confirmed as positive the early involvement of the students in the institutions and the individual preparation of the future professional.

The ninth congress of Cuban jurists continues today its second and last working day with the presence of more than 250 delegates from all over the country.

During the opening gala and on behalf of the attendees, the president of the UNJC, Alexis Ginarte, dedicated the event to the imprint of the lawyer and leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro.
