Cuban Judoka Ivan Silva goes for fourth Pan-American gold medal

Havana, Nov 18 (Prensa Latina) Cuban judoka Ivan Silva's goal is to win the gold medal at in the 90-kg division in the Pan-American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico, in order to get four titles in those events. According to Silva, he feels pretty well and has a good chance of winning the gold medal in a competition that will grant 700 points to the world ranking for 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games.
We had good training days in Santiago de Cuba and expect a great result in Mexico after being interrupted since February by the Covid-19 pandemic, Silva said.
In Guadalajara, where some 140 athletes from 22 countries will compete, Cuba will be represented by Osniel Solis and Orlando Polanco (66 kg) and Andy Granda (+100 kg).
In addition, the four Cuban female judokas who will compete will be Ayumi Leyva (48 kg), Nahomys Acosta (52 kg), Arnaes Odelin (57 kg) and Maylin del Toro.
