Havana, Sep 8 (Prensa Latina) The House of the Emeritus of the Americas Benito Juarez will host today in this capital the Eusebio Leal and his founding spirit talks, dedicated to the Historian of Havana on his 80th birthday.
The meeting brings together part of the team of specialists who accompanied the Master in Heritage Sciences more than 30 years ago in the creation of the cultural institutions that make up the Historic Center of the Cuban city.
Another essential dialogue will take place with a group of intellectuals at the headquarters of the Union of Cuban Writers, who will recall her close ties with the country’s artistic vanguard, to which Leal also added numerous experiences and teachings.
In the visual arts, creator Isavel Gimeno will pay tribute to the prominent researcher with the exhibition Sueños compartidos (Shared Dreams), which reflects Leal’s support and promotion of Cuba’s musical heritage.
Hosted at the Lombillo Palace, the exhibition highlights the friendly relationship between the creator and the Doctor of Historical Sciences, whose legacy is the focus of the commemorative actions program designed by the Office of the Historian of the city.
