Havana, Apr 26 (Prensa Latina) Cuban authorities responded to thousands of complaints from citizens, an exercise that must be perfected, Prime Minister Manuel Marrero said today.

The head of government thus expressed it when heading the annual balance of the Office of Attention to the Population at the Palace of the Revolution, headquarters of the Presidency of the Republic.

Marrero reported that over 35,000 claims were received daily through letters, email, social networks and interviews, mostly complaints and reports on issues such as housing, premises and land, transportation, public health and prices.

Havana and Matanzas (in the west), Villa Clara (center), and eastern Santiago de Cuba were the provinces from which the largest number of messages were received.

The Prime Minister underlined the importance of the work of the Population Attention Office and urged greater computerization of its dependencies.
