Cuban authorities highlight Plenary Session of the Central Committee of the Party

Regarding the recent call for the 10th Plenary Session of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), political party officials highlighted today the importance of the topics to be discussed at the event, to be held on July 4 and 5.

On X, Miguel Diaz-Canel, first secretary of the PCC Central Committee and president of the country, stated that the Plenary Session will discuss the Government Program to correct distortions and boost the economy, as well as the plan to stabilize the national electricity system.

For his part, Roberto Morales Ojeda, Secretary of Organization of the PCC Central Committee, emphasized that the topics that will be the focus of discussions at the meeting are of vital importance to the population, amid the difficult situation the country is going through.

During the event, both party officials noted, the call for the 9th Congress of the political party will also be approved.

According to the call to the 10th Plenary Session of the PCC Central Committee, an evaluation of the cadre policy strategy approved at the 8th Congress will also be conducted.

At the meeting, the text added, the proposal for the commemorative program for the centennial of the birth of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz is expected to be drafted.

The Political Bureau will also report on its work and the main decisions taken during this phase.
