Cuba Welcomes Venezuela-Guyana Dialog

Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel praised the dialog between the heads of state of Venezuela and Guyana.
On his X account, Diaz-Canel wrote that the two countries are familiar with the position of Cuba in contributing to solve regional conflicts and went on to affirm that such position was assumed in the Venezuela-Guyana case by attending to the petitions of both.
On Thursday, Venezuela and Guyana expressed their willingness to keep up the dialog after the presidents of both nations—Nicolas Maduro and Irfaan Ali—held talks.
The two heads of state met during more than two hours in Kingstown’s Argyle international airport, in Jamaica in an exchange promoted by the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) and the Community of Caribbean States (CARICOM) in an effort to lower the escalation of a territorial conflict over the Esequibo region.
