Havana, March 23 (RHC)-- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez expressed his gratitude for the distinction that the Honduran Legislative granted the island, highlighting the solidarity work of health collaborators in the Central American nation.
"We are honored by the recognition of the Grand Cross with Gold Plaque and Special Certificate granted by the Honduran Congress to the Cuban people and government," he wrote on his Twitter account.

Honduran authorities presented the award to the Cuban Ambassador to that country, Francisco Emilio Delgado, during a solemn session in the Chamber of Deputies.
According to the local press, Honduras expressed its gratitude for the humanitarian assistance and cooperation received during the last two decades in health, education, technology, and relief during contingencies.
The Congress highlighted the island's support during Hurricane Mitch and the sending of medical brigades to face Covid-19 and tropical storms Eta and Iota in the northern part of the country.
The International Relations and Regional Integration Commission emphasized that Cuban health professionals provided more than 29 million consultations in the last decades and operated on more than three thousand people in the country.
