Cuba reports 6,850 new Covid-19 cases and 83 deaths

Havana, August 28 (RHC)-- Cuba's Public Health Ministry reported on Saturday 6,850 new infections with the SARS-Cov-2 virus and 83 deaths over the last 24 hours.

The ministry said that the Caribbean country has accumulated 634,161 infections with Covid-19 and 5,067 deaths associated to the disease since March 2020.

There were 41 523 active patients hospitalized as of midnight.

Havana reported 865 cases, Pinar del Rio 872, Artemisa 711 and Holguin with 596. Those were the provinces with the highest number of cases.
