Cuba reports 17 new Covid-19 cases

Havana, Jun 16 (Prensa Latina) Cuba reported today that 17 persons were detected with Covid-19 in the last few hours, the total number of active cases in the country is 88 and no serious or critical patients have been reported.

In the Molecular Biology laboratories, 4,452 samples were analyzed to discover the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, confirmed the Public Health Ministry. Of the 88 active cases in the island, none is being treated in intensive care.

With the 25 clinical discharges granted, the total number of recovered cases reached 1.97 million and since the beginning of the pandemic, in March 2020, 1,105,681 cases were reported.

According to the official report, there have been no deaths during the day as a result of the pandemic and the total number of deaths remains at 8,529.
