Cuba reports 1010 new COVID-19 infections and eight deaths

Cuban Health authorities reported on Wednesday 1010 new Covid -19 diagnoses in the national territory. Sixty-one cases were imported, and 949 were autochthonous. Eight fatalities were reported.
With these figures, the total number of confirmed cases in the Caribbean nation since March last year amounts to 111,654 cases and 694 deaths, said Dr. Francisco Durán, national director of Epidemiology.
In his daily national television briefing, Dr. Duran said 5592 positive cases remained hospitalized.
Havana diagnosed 583 patients with COVID. Mayabeque followed with 102, and Santiago de Cuba 55.
