Havana, Jul 18 (Prensa Latina) Cuba reported 81 new positive cases of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes Covid-19, as well as 50 medical discharges and no deaths on Monday
Among admitted patients, 598, 272 are suspected cases and 326 are confirmed active patients, according to the daily report released by the Ministry of Public Health (Minsap).
Of the total number of contagions on Sunday, 71 were contacts of confirmed cases, three dad their source of infection abroad and in seven cases the cause of the infection was not identified.
To date, 1,097,965 Cubans (99.2 percent of all those confirmed) have recovered from the disease, while two of those admitted are in critical condition.
Cuba has accumulated 1,106,879 Covid-19 patients since March 11, 2020, and the total number of deaths as a result of the pandemic remains at 8,529.
