Havana, Jul 11 (Prensa Latina) Cuba today reported 37 new positive cases of Covid-19, 25 medical discharges and no deaths.

The number of patients admitted is 423, of that total 204 are suspected and 219 confirmed active, according to the daily report released by the Ministry of Public Health (Minsap).

Of the total number of infections until sunday, 33 were contacts of confirmed cases, two of them had their source of infection abroad and in two cases the cause of infection was not identified.

So far, the number of nationals recovered has reached 1,097,651 (99.2 percent of all confirmed cases), while one of those admitted is in serious condition.

Cuba has accumulated 1,106,459 people diagnosed with the pathogen since March 11, 2020 and the total number of fatalities as a result of the pandemic amounts to 8,529.

Such behavior places the lethality rate in Cuba at 0.77 percent, much lower than the 1.14 in the world and 1.67 in the American continent, according to a comparison of the data provided by the Minsap.
