A police operation at the La Lima farm, located in Campo Florido, Habana del Este municipality, in the eastern region of Havana, led to the discovery of 16 marijuana plants, along with a jar with seeds and a significant amount of cash, allegedly linked to drug trafficking.
The owner of the farm was arrested and faces charges related to the cultivation and trafficking of illicit substances, in line with the Cuban government's zero tolerance policy towards drugs, Cubadebate reported.
According to the report, authorities continue investigations to determine if there are links to broader trafficking networks.
It adds that this case highlights the state's commitment to protecting the health and stability of families in the community.
