Cuba extends deadline for payment of tax obligations
especiales
The National Office of Tax Administration (ONAT) informs taxpayers that with the recent publication in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Resolution 322/2024 of the Ministry of Finance and Prices of Cuba, the term of payment of tax obligations of individuals and legal entities, with a due date in the corresponding month, has been extended until October 31, 2024.
It is specified that this decision responds to the situations caused by the energy contingency and the effects on communication infrastructures caused by the passing of Hurricane Oscar through eastern Cuba.
Given the importance of tax collection in such vital moments for the country and taking into account that these taxes are destined to finance the maintenance of the social programs of the Revolution, the ONAT urges taxpayers, both individuals and legal entities, to pay their tax obligations before the due date.
The agency suggests the timely payment of tax obligations to avoid penalties for non-compliance.
Individuals and legal entities may pay their tax obligations through electronic payment channels due to the advantages they offer.
